Accordion Book project final for my Visual Language II class.
The cover>> [link] Made from store-bought origami paper as well as some I made myself in the paper shop. Origami crane is the clasp that keeps the thing closed.
This is about 6 inches long by 7 feet wide. It contains several layers:
1) Vellum base covered in 2 types of store-bought niiice paper
2) Watercolored background with landscape (all paper drawn on/used for construction was vellum)
3) Watercolored foreground bits, cut out with ridiculously large scissors. These were purposely not glued down completely to give it a 3D aspect
4) The origami and "real" birds that bring the composition together and tell a vague story.
