Tell me someone remembers this game, Pajama Sam?! It was the best thing ever when I was 7. I still remember the day my mother and I waited in line at BJ's as she asked me, "Are you sure this won't be too scary to play?" I bravely answered that it wasn't, as the menacing faces of trees stared back at me on the box. For those who don't know, it was about a superhero kid who went to "vanquish darkness" and look for his socks.
Upon returning from college the game was on my mind for some reason, so I played through it and took loads of screenshots. It deserves more fanart than I've seen.
Looking back I really like the art of these old point-and-click games. (Apparently while I was enjoying these everyone else was playing Oregon Trail and Zoombinis? Whatever.
I always pictured Sam going back and chillin' with everyone in the Land of Darkness by having epic Cheese and Cracker tournaments. Though the whole place was subtly trippy if you ask me- talking trees, carrots, toasters, bridges, etc., and all that stuff on the ground? Even a little blue kid wouldn't have silverware in his closet.
PS7, a few hours. Pajama Sam belongs to Humongous Entertainment, now Humongous Inc.
